With an artistic career spanning close to 40 years, Dahl Taylor’s body of work has concentrated on portraiture and gallery paintings of equestrian and maritime themes. Portrait commissions have come from the public and private sector, industry and academia. He has done portraits of officials on both the federal and state level including the official portrait of former NY State Attorney General Dennis Vacco, which hangs in the New York State Capitol and United States Bankruptcy Judge Charles J. Marro. Norstar Bank board chair, Erland Kailborne, Siena college benefactors George & Sally Maloney & Spencer & Patricia Standish.
